Terry Mancini (Poiani)

Terry writes that she is now a retired teacher, well not totally - because she still tutors and subs. After 29 years in the class room she still loves being with the children. In her spare time she enjoys reading, baking and stitchery. Terry is married with no children and resides in New Jersey.

Marianne Munier - Adventurer

Marianne, our reunion chairperson, shares the following:

Attended Katherine Gibbs after HS and worked for a few years before having my first daughter. Became a stay at home mom (total of 4 children) and then moved to Scottsdale, AZ. for 10 years. Worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Chairman of the Board and the CEO of a state bank for 6 years before moving back to NJ in 1986. Took a position with AT&T for 16 years as a finance manager before given the ax in 2002 - finished 3/4 of my degree on their money and qualified for my retiree medical benefits. Went back to school to study nursing (instead of finance management) and worked in an OB/GYN office (great idea to get me ready for the ups and downs when my youngest daughter got pregnant). Had the opportunity to do some disecting in the gross anatomy lab to see and handle all the bodily organs up close and personal. Once you get by the smell, you got it licked. Now I have my own businesses to keep up with as well as chasing after my two grandsons (two more on the way before year end).

I love to travel anytime, anywhere. Have had the opportunity to visit Italy twice, Greece, Spain, France, Hawaii (three times - just returned), Austria, Alaska, Canada, Peru, and most of the Caribbean islands (as you can see from my picture, I love cruising), and of course many more of the US states. I try to keep my feet on the ground, but couldn't resist going skydiving.
What a thrill to jump out of a little propeller plane at 11,000 feet in the air (tandem - I'm not that brave)! My two sons, son-in-law, and sister took the plunge also. Can't wait to do it again!

40th Reunion Set for October 7, 2007

Dear Classmates,

The buildings are still there while our school is long gone. Here is how they look today. The neighborhood has changed dramatically as Route 21 was completed through Passaic, Pantasote has been torn down paving the way for housing development and new housing is being constructed on any vacant lot the becomes available. Yet many of the buildings that were old in 1967 still remain. Slowly but surely a renaissance is happening.

Marianne Munier has been working diligently to contact everyone. Our reunion will be at the Bethwood in Totowa, NJ. Details to follow via email and/or snail mail. We look forward to posting information including current photos of classmates on this blog. Members will receive a request form shortly. You may send any information and photos you wish to share with classmates to Ken Swatt at mfcloans@verizon.net or Marianne Munier at mpmu04@hotmail.com

Roy Sarracino was recently in NJ visiting his family and we met for lunch at the Tick Tock Diner. As you can see neither of us has aged a day.

Looking forward to hearing from everyone.

Best regards,

Ken
